About Us

  • JSA is a private practice advising a wide range of corporate and private clients led by John Skelton, a Chartered Building Surveyor and Architectural Designer with over 25 years’ experience at all levels with regional, national and international surveyors, architects and development companies.
  • John’s extensive knowledge and experience in the industry enables the practice to deal with property, construction and development projects from inception to completion including site selection and appraisal, architecture, planning, contract administration and project management.
  • An independent practice, based in the historic city of York, the majority of our work is in the north of England but we undertake commissions both nationally and internationally.
  • We undertake the full range of architectural services from concept and feasibility stage, detail design, working drawings and project management through to completion.
  • For the vast majority of our projects we carry out the design, specification budgeting and contract administration as a ‘total package’ to give our clients a single point of contact and responsibility, ensuring effective and profitable results.
  • Our experience over a wide range of building types and market sectors, plus our commitment to new technology, delivers high quality and innovative buildings – the fact that most of our projects are repeat commissions from our clients speaks for itself.
